Town Voice
Missoula is home of the Grizzlies, both the animal and the university. This town has amazing views, breweries and I highly recommend floating the lake (I mean river I think... It's massive).
Weezle's updated favorites
THIRSTY? HUNGRY?
Stockmans Bar (For the late night smells)
Lolo Creek Steakhouse for Steak (But for the museum of taxidermy) In town though if I want a tomahawk steak from 1889 or Plonk actually makes a mean Steak.
Paul's Pancake Parlor (For the good service, but always forget it takes 45 minutes on average to get sat down... that being said, going next door and reading a book helps)
Scotty's Table (For the patio seating of people watching at Cara's Park)
The Depot (Because it just 'feels' like Missoula)
Thomas Meagher (Mar Bar) for the party and sports vibes (Also Irish bars are always fun)
Double Front Chicken (Because you have to)
Boxcar Bistro (I know its newer, but it is the most affordable high end food you can get in Missoula... they never disappoint the people we refer over there)
Oxford Saloon (If you are drunk and have a strong gut)
Dinosaur Cafe (Because it is the only Missoula speakeasy style "I didn't even know they had food at Charlie B's" secret)
Plonk (Some of the best bartending in the business)
Conflux (The beer is housemade and delicious. The Patio is amazing!)
North Downtown (I love Silver Dollar Bar and the shitty road outside, but everyone is at Al's & Vics, but be careful... James Bar is next door if you need to calm down, Hit up Pie Hole on the way home)
Zoo Thai is great! Nothing bad to say beside the shitty hours.
Mo Club (Had to put this in here for the Hamburgers and Nostalgia)
Dive Bar Route (South Downtown) : Watch music downstairs at the musty Monks bar, Stop by Bodega to shoot some hoops inside, Red bar is next super chill, then The Rhino for a Drink and end the hilarious night at Stockman's for some poker and people watching.
SLEEPY?
The DoubleTree Rivers Edge is probably the coolest for the river views if you are into that kinda thing.
Thunderbird is hilarious and has a beautiful neon sign
AC hotel is probably third with the roof top bar and the boogie taste.
There are some cool Bed and Breakfasts & Glamping Airbnbs
ACTIVE?
GYMS : use to be so rad in Missoula,MT ... but Vortex is a cool option. The bro gym being Fuel. The small town feel would be M.U.S.T.
Peak is awesome for lifting as well and year round pickleball / racket sports.
HIKES : The famous "M" hike behind the university (Medium). Rattlesnake (Medium). Water Works (Easy). Mount Jumbo (Medium). Blue Mountain (Easy).
A little more south, our favorite is Kootenai trail cause you see the amazing river right when you start your hike and follow it as long as you want to go.
GOLF : Ranch Club is our favorite cause we like link style. A little rookie on staffing though. Missoula CC, amazing greens, amazing sand bunkers. Staff is great! Canyon River has our favorite views and a great course. Larchmont is great as well for a city course... it is slow though.
EVENTS?
The fair and Rodeo is probably the coolest event in Missoula. (Summer)
Flying Mules Ice Hockey tournament is wild as well. (Winter)
Maggotfest Rugby Tournament is hilarious (and disgusting)
Brewfest is probably the best event in Downtown Missoula
Historic spots, Fort Missoula is our favorite.
Travel, Look up the Garden of 1000 buddahs... a little north of Missoula.
Shopping, Rockin Rudy's is always fun to check out all the cool items
Travel North, Glacier and Flathead Lake are close-ish.
Travel South, Darby where they film Yellowstone and more south-west Yellowstone.
MUSIC : Bigsky Brewery Concerts are our favorite as far as management... Kettlehouse ampitheater is obviously the prettiest spot to watch music, but the guy that owned it is a sell out and it is lame now... Everyone bitches about it don't worry (but its our only actual option so YAY MONOPOLIES), and their sister Wilma as well is where the most action is.
Caras Park is always awesome and a great place to watch people surf the river, listen to music, and if you have kids there is one of the coolest parks in town with a carousel.
