Top 5 Places to Eat in Missoula, Montana (Based on Reviews)

  1. The Notorious P.I.G. BBQ

    • A fan-favorite BBQ spot serving mouthwatering ribs, brisket, and pulled pork with a laid-back, casual vibe. People rave about their smoked meats and sides. Pretty pricey though if you are on a budget.

  2. Plonk Missoula

    • This upscale restaurant offers a refined dining experience with a creative menu featuring farm-to-table dishes. It’s also popular for its craft cocktails. I just love this place from the atmosphere to the dining experience, it is hard to get good service in Missoula, but so far I have always had great service here at the Plonk. (https://plonkwine.com/)

  3. Tamarack Brewing Company

    • A great place for casual dining with a diverse menu and local beers on tap. Known for burgers, pizzas, and its Montana-inspired comfort food. Service is a little hit or miss and honestly sometimes the worst in Missoula from our point of view, but I would recommend this spot for a good meeting food joint for the family after going to Caras park. (https://www.tamarackbrewing.com/missoula)

  4. Five on Black

    • A fast-casual Brazilian restaurant where you can build your own bowl. It’s perfect for a quick and healthy meal that doesn’t compromise on flavor. We just added this because of the reviews amounts, but it is a staple of Missoula as far as "you know what you are going to get" and is a pretty healthy choice. (https://www.fiveonblack.com/)

  5. Double Front Chicken

    • Honestly, took us a while to get here, but when we did... we understood why. The fried chicken is fresh, they don't charge you an arm and a leg, and the downstairs bar is actually pretty awesome. Since the chicken is freshly fried, make sure to be patient... it is worth it. Top 5 Events to do in Missoula

  1. The Missoula Marathon (JUNE EVENT)

    • The Missoula Marathon is the brainchild of a group of local, dedicated members who want to share the area’s beauty and Missoula’s unique feel with runners from all over. The Missoula Marathon is one of our community’s most beloved and supported events. https://www.missoulamarathon.org/

  2. Maggotfest (MAY EVENT)

    • Rugby as it should be. Since 1976. The Maggots uniform is basic black with white collars, a color scheme that has also been adopted by the New Zealand national rugby team. On the shirt is a rosetta of intertwined maggots. Alternate kits include white jerseys with black and white segmented sleeves and black and white quarter panels. https://www.maggots.org/

  3. The Snowbowl (WINTER SKI)

    • One of the original ski hills, everything is outdated (Including their website and marketing) and I think it just works for them. It feels like a locals only ski slope, nothing really fancy about it, but it is a staple of Missoula skiing. https://www.montanasnowbowl.com/
