Town Voice

Harrisburg is the capital city of Pennsylvania, located on the Susquehanna River, 105 miles northwest of Philadelphia.2 The town was officially incorporated in 1791 and became the capital of Pennsylvania at the end of 1812. Various important government meetings began to be held here, and plans for a State House were drawn and discussed.0 The oldest stone railroad bridge in use in Pennsylvania is the Starrucca Viaduct that crosses PA Route 171 north of Lanesboro in Susquehanna County.
