The best marketing strategy is the best storytelling strategy. Getting great insights from data can tell a great story as well, if you know how to read and listen to it however.
Many people (and marketing agencies) struggle to understand data even when it's beautifully visualized.
Here are three ways to turn your data collection into becoming a data detective, best in the business.
Become a Data Zoomer at first glance.
1.1 Zoom out and see the big picture. Ask, what are the most important trends or correlations you've found? What is the story the data is trying to tell me? You might even reference yourself as the 'ten thousand foot viewer' at this point of data reading.
1.2 Second, you will want to zoom in. Show the nuggets towards your trend hypothesis or zoomed out data.
1.3 Third, share the story of trend (zoom out) and for example (zoom in) to help your case in why you want to focus more on this strategy.
